Our current project is titled Black Sheep:
"The tiny planet of Blio didn’t seem like much to write home about. It was, in fact, so mundane that the most interesting creature to evolve--humanoids as it were--had fallen into a lifestyle that can only be described as a lazy stupor. That is until the self-proclaimed King Newslo concocted a scheme to forge the first kingdom on Blio, a scheme called religion. What the King hadn't penned into the plan was that God was actually real, or more accurately, would become real. A prophet, a messiah, miracles, mobs, and the most epic battle the tiny planet of Blio has ever seen unfold as the Blioians try to navigate their first taste of organized religion. And the people of Blio don’t even know that their lives hang in the balance, God help them."
We have finished the first draft and are going through the first round of edits in December. Then January begins the Beta reading process when our baby travels all over to be read and criticized by various people who we hope are both honest and love our novel... I doubt we will get both of those things.
Black Sheep Update: Round one edit is complete! Manuscripts are printed (compliments of Lulu.com)! Beta Readers are enlisted and awaiting their copies! Here we go!
3/11/2023 The Newest Update: Manuscripts were delivered, and then sent back for review. Thank you to everyone who volunteered! We have begun round two editing, and boy howdy it is a doozy! While the plot is faithfully pinned in place, we're tightening up passages, adding in backstory, and breaking up the chapter two block that felled even the bravest of souls with its massive narrative dumping.
